wow. what other rather simple adjective could describe the events of the past few weeks? 'crazy' complicates things quite a bit, and 'dramatic' is an understatment. so i'm sticking with 'wow.' much has happened, but most recently was parents weekend. so i'm on this medication that warns of 'mild mood swings...' haha right. mild is very much of an understatement, and until recent events i thought i was immune to any sort of hard-core drama. how very wrong i was! my mom came to visit me, even after a very 'emotional' phone conversation the night before, and we make plans to go to the cheesecake factory for dinner. well i am in tears most of the time before dinner (while waiting like 2 hours to get into the restaurant) and can't understand why and i am blaming my mom for things that didn't even exist. so then after that i'm prefectly fine and proceed to apologize for everything including providing food shelter and water for me since i was little. she was utterly speechless.
anyway, i think i'm fine now, currently i only have 3 noticable multiple personalities...haha. i'm not depressed anymore (but those first weeks were horrible) and i'm very optimistic, just like my usual self. yum...optimism.
oh yes, and i also have a stalker. i went to a few parties last weekend and apparently i met someone there named 'M' and promised i'd call them back. EXCEPT I HAVE MEMORY OF MEETING ANYONE WHO IS NAMED AFTER A CONSANANT. they left a message on my door: 'hey suzy, we met last weekend at the party and you promised you would call me...but you never did :(' then they left their number. 'M' if you are reading this, you really need to improve your stalker qualities. on a more positive note, i hung out with amanda for the first time two nights in a row, party goin, you know, and she's an awesome person. just thought i'd put that in. ghetto bell @ 3am is awesome, especially when your chem SI is the one driving!! yo yo yo yo you know how we do.
you know it's sort of a shame how i pay like 2 grand for my dorm room and the past week i've spent a total of like 3 nights here. go figure.
i'm really getting used to it here, i'm playing volleyball, making great friends, working out (well tonight was the first time in 5 months..but i'm being optimistic!!), becoming comfortable with doing things on my own, and satisfying my need for spontaneous things on my own. cleveland isn't so great yet...but case is surely an ego booster for me. i don't know whether that is a good or bad thing...
ps. i am dominating chem lab.

lately i've been having real bad mood swings. haha this is bad because i feel like i'm living as two different people. maybe it's because of the medication or maybe it's because i've temporarily gone insane. i'll wake up feeling fine, but then throughout the day i'll get depressed and then kind of just become this indecisive person who has no personality. but then the littleist thing can make me incredibly happy.
but most of the time i'm sort of sad and tired, so i'm hoping everything's going to balance out soon.

Awesome underrated things that I love.
- going to The Spot completely inebriated on Wednesday nights and watching terrible bands...but it doesn't matter that they're not good, because you didn't go to hear play them anyway.
- watching the VP presidential debate from your room, and drinking whenever someone says 'terrorism,' 'saddam hussein' or 'osama bin ladin'
- when people surprise you with doing nice things, and you do something nice back.
- good food that doesn't originate from the ovens of Leutner commons.
- really good entertainment when you least expect it
- being privileged enough to watch julie and zenia dance like no ones watching
- photocopying random objects, such as certain undergarments and body parts, with my printer/scanner/photocopier and hanging up the artwork.
- brewing absinth...this really makes me feel confident with my chemistry skills
- feeling confident with myself...very much so...probably more than I like you
- learning how to fence and then actually testing those skills with only a curtain rod, a picnic table, and an eskimo hat
- drunken phone calls and phone messages. also, reading drunken journal entries is quite amusing as well
- going to chemistry class when you're definately not A-OKAY
- getting free drinks at bars*
- stealing public announcement signs and using them to decorate your dorm
- going to Coventry and buying large amounts of fireworks and various paraphanalia at the Toy Store
- the joyousness of a full stocked fridge
- going out to do something with someone who already has a good idea of what they want to do
- going to bars with seniors from Tulane and chilling in the big comfy couches while slowly realizing the walls are actually spinning and that those colors projected on the walls are really really REALLY cool
- orientation week and the song Hallelujah!!! Julie, that playlist was perfect for the occasion
- Chopstick and the Diner, and our waiter Ron. The best ever, I might add.
- peppermint tea
- DC++...thank you for the best movie/music library i have ever had. thank you for saving me thousands of dollars.

- The time of day, just before sunset, when the shadows are the longest, and you're walkin and realize life isn't bad after all...
Things that are not so awesome...
- crazy and anal RA's who send e-mails to the entire floor about you being too loud during Quiet hours
- mean CIA kids hanging outside their dorm smoking for hours and being loud because they have no REAL work to do.
- not being able to see the VP debate in person when it's taking place at YOUR OWN SCHOOL, less than a half mile away
- listening to the macarena every night at Leutner because some bitch keeps hogging the juke box
- keeping yourself from falling asleep in class, and doing that whole head-bobbing thing.
- *having to deal with the sketchy older guys who BUY you those drinks
- people with no personalities and who are closed minded, who think they are great.
- getting stuck in Beechwood mall because they close so damn early, and being locked in. It's also great when you get stuck at there in pouring rain and the bus doesn't come for an hour.
- taking the south side greenie instead of the north side greenie, and getting made fun of indirectly by the greenie driver who is about five times your age
- missing the greenie and having to walk to class
- not having a car and having to rely on other people for rides
- people who don't appreciate what you are trying to do for them

tonight was a little dissapointing, but i guess that's just the way things go. i'll never regret anything i do so long as i learn from the experience. i'll never change for anyone, but i've learned that everyone's experiences have been different and that that effects the way they think about life and how they deal with different situations. i'm sorry for whomever i made feel awkward or uncomfortable, but i'm just trying to help you feel more comfortable with yourself as a person.

once again it's a sunday night and of course i have no work, and everyone else is studying their asses off. case western social life= awesomeness. hm, that crack cocaine is lookin pretty good right now. i met this kid the other night who was talking about absinth, and he said that i could get it at this store downtown, apparently they sell a novelty absinth 'glass,' which happens to contain green fairy. interesting.
something annoying and creepy:
last night i decided to go to bed sort of early, since the night before i had gotten 3 hours of sleep...so i'm sleeping and at 2am i hear my phone ring, right? i figure it's julie calling me from scotts, but it turns out to be a '301' area code. turns out to be this 6'10'' creep from the gay bar who happened to get my number during a temporary loss-of-mind on my part. i then proceeded to hang up and list his number under "never answer this." |

Went to Bounce club last night, a gay dance club/bar...what an experience. Since I'm not 18 yet, I stole my next door neighbors ID (she's asain and 18, and we all know that all asains look alike...) and went with my friend Gabby (yep, he's gay), Zenia, and a few others...left campus around 11:30pm and got home at 3:30am...kind of sucked since I had to wake up early for a 9:30am class. OKAY. THERE WAS A FREAKIN DRAG SHOW AND A MALE STRIPPER NAMED ROCKY!!!! All the drag queens had gotten sex changes (sex changes=no wangggg) and looked like britney spears, with the exception of this one huge black shim. YEP. THEN ROCKY CAME out, and oh man he was so hot, well at least his body was and especially his ass. He came out in these small tighty whities with rainbows, and then danced on the stage with water coming down on him fromthe ceiling!! It was crazyinsane. Then by the end those tighty whities were pulled down and people were putting dollar bills in his ass...and people would go up to him with money in their mouths and he would make out with them to get the money!!! Girl or boy, it didn't matter to ROCKY. I would have done it had I been under the influence of ectasy. hahah sike. There were so many hot gay guys there, it was actually a shame. There were a few straight guys who hit on Zenia and I, but they were GROSS, like this on e guy who was 6 foot 10, and he came up to me and was like 'do you like your guys tall?' I was like WTF get away this is my girlfriend Zenia...haha. OH did I mention all of the lesbians? They had a field day with Zenia...which severely freaked her out. The whole night was pretty fun, everyone was dancin up on eachother. Yay for college and shit.
Speaking of shit, Wednesday night Julie, Zenia, Scott, Jason, Adam, etc went to go see the band girltalk at The Spot...they sucked but since we were intoxicated everythin was great. Especially when I got back to the dorm and my LA watched me spinning in circles on the floor of my dorm...
Tonight I'm going to see Jurassic 5 and Freeflow, who are going to be on campus and later this month are going to be touring with the Dave Matthews band. I also registered to get tickets for the Vice Presidential Debate on Oct. 5th...hopefully I'll be able to get them because it would be such a great experience.

Last night was awesome, all the frats had stopped rushing so they could have wet parties. Sooo I went to sigma nu and it was aight, we got free beer but then we left because it was kind of boring....BUT THEN WE WENT TO THE BLACKOUT PARTY WHICH WAS OFFICIALLY THE COOLEST PARTY SINCE I GOT HERE. It was in a frat house and all the lights were turned out and people had written on the walls with sidewalk chalk, and there were so many people, x 4,550!! Everyone was dancin in the foam, and the foam was up to our shoulders!! there was even a foam waterfall in which I was pushed under like a trillion times and there was soap in my eyes but I didn't care because it was fun!!! Everyone was so wasted...even the guys running the bar and every time i'd walk by they'd like hand me another two beers. CRAZY. There's a maze party in a few weeks and that will probaby be cool, too. And also last night, Julie's boyfriend came back and he spent the night, and in the morning he got like 3 phone calls from his friends because they had heard he had sexually harrassed someone and was in jail. HAHA.
I love Julie and Zenia!! They are so cute and I love them and they have a great sense of humor. Happy birthday ZENIA! 18!!! |

This weekend's going to be great...all the frats have stopped rushing and so this weekend there's going to be many many many parties. And yes, its Case Western. My friend Adam told me that his frat's having a maze party,where they buy $900.00 worth of shipping boxes and make a HUGE maze with them, and everyone will be stumbling through it drunk. Then they're having a foam party later on in the season, but before it gets too cold, because everyone knows cold frozen foam isn't good.
I got my friend Zenia drunk. First time, ever...it was pretty funny actually, I like left her for a second and then she went outside somehow and I found her reciting shakespeare to this poor fool on his balconey talking on his cell phone. Oh Zenia...this weekend's her birthday, so Julie and I are planning a dorm party. Everyone on our floor is really weird though, but we're inviting all the guys from the floor above us and below us.
Speaking of birthdays mine's in a few weeks! I am going to get a tatoo of some sort, hopefully. Any ideas? I was thinking a little star on my lower right back. Or lower left. I don't actually know. I just know I have to go to my chem 113 lab now that I didn't prepare for. Oh well.

Ohh man I feel sick, I went with Julie to a party last night and seriously, it was incredible. By incredible I mean drag queens, cross dressers, lots of goths; it was something i've never seen before. Kind of scary stuff. Well this past week has been interesting...lots of work but still a lot of fun. Classes are hard as shit and chem lab sucks because it starts so early. Who wants to be titrating at 8 in the morning?
I have to go meet my wiser adviser today at 1pm at Tommy's...a really good falafel restaurant so I am excited about FOOD. I love Case so much, I can't imagine being happier here :) |
